Position DutiesWhat Does the College of Arts & Letters Representative do?: College Representatives serve on the A.S.I. Board of Directors. Each Academic College at Cal State L.A. has two representatives. As a voting member on the Board of Directors, the representative acts as the liaison between the College they represent and A.S.I. In acting as the liaison, they identify College issues that affect students, prioritize those issues, and present them to the A.S.I. Board to further discuss solution-oriented action. They are the official student representative of the College. In addition to larger issues, a College Representative is available to dialogue about the individual needs and concerns of the students. The College Representative is at the service of the College they represent and the students within. With impartiality and openness, it is their charge to seek out the opinions, needs, and desires of the student body and to serve on A.S.I. and CSULA standing committees. They plan and participate in A.S.I. programs and perform further duties as specified in the A.S.I. bylaws (Article VI, Sec. 3; Article VIII, Secs. 2-4) and the A.S.I. Codes of Procedures (Article VIII).
