March for Higher Education
Trip to Sacramento

Sunday, March 21 - Monday, March 22 

** Sign-up by 2 pm on Wednesday, March 17 **

Join A.S.I. as we march with thousands from community colleges, the University of California, and the California State University systems to protest recent and proposed cuts at the Golden State’s public educational institutions. Faculty, staff, and students from California colleges and university systems will march and hold a rally to protest budget cutbacks, fee increases, and layoffs across Higher Education. Representatives will speak at a morning news conference at Raley Field in West Sacramento prior to the march up Capitol Avenue to the State Capitol. Sign-up in the A.S.I. Student Service Center, University-Student Union Rm. 105 by 2 pm on Wednesday, March 17.

** THE BUS RIDE TO SACRAMENTO IS FREE **

REQUIRED: To register and to ride the bus, you must:
  • bring your valid student ID and
  • class schedule for proof of enrollment.
If you are not a Cal State L.A. Student, you will be charged $70 CASH ONLY (which is reimbursable if the trip is cancelled)

The number of participants required for this trip is at least 50 persons to take Bus #1 and at least 70 persons to take Bus #2. If a trip cancellation does occur, you will be notified by the end of the business day on Wednesday, March 17.

We only have 100 spots so sign up now!
